OVES Enterprise launches Storm Shadow AI, an on-premise AI solution

Business Forum
OVES Enterprise, a software development company and drone manufacturer, is launching Storm Shadow AI, an advanced artificial intelligence solution that can learn in record time to make quick and precise decisions in critical scenarios for any type of vehicle operated without human intervention. Thus, whether they are land, maritime, or aerial vehicles, they can identify, track, and neutralize strategic targets.

"Storm Shadow AI is an artificial intelligence solution, the result of over 8 months of intensive research and technological development, which we make available to security and defense companies. This will give them the possibility to implement autonomous systems capable of making quick and accurate decisions in critical scenarios. The solution was made possible thanks to the emergence of new global hardware equipment, significant advancements in the AI algorithms area, which allowed our AI to be trained at an unprecedented level, thus facilitating the development of an AI solution with superior capabilities", says Mihai Filip, CEO of OVES Enterprise.

Storm Shadow AI is an "on-premise" solution (the software is installed and run locally on the clients' equipment), with the entire technological process taking about 3 months. It involves the implementation and execution by companies of a suite of applications and procedures related to the AI training stage.
After this period, the systems on which the solution has been integrated become fully autonomous, capable of executing complex missions without direct human intervention. This extended autonomy is vital in operations where reaction time and precision are crucial.

Besides military applications, the solution can also be used in commercial applications, such as emergency interventions or autonomous deliveries of essential materials to critical locations, such as hospitals, potentially revolutionizing other areas as well, thus demonstrating the versatility and adaptability of the technology.

"Of course, the solution can be dual-use. Imagine an autonomous drone recognizing a hospital where it needs to deliver blood, or anything else. There are many applications. But the fact that we managed to take over the entire avionics part of a drone, with an AI and a small hardware, to identify and destroy targets, while also making the drone impossible to jam, is a great thing", adds Mihai Filip.

OVES Enterprise prioritizes ethics and safety in all its developments. The Storm Shadow AI solution includes strict protocols that ensure that every operation performed by the AI is monitored and, if necessary, controlled by human operators. This "human in the loop" mechanism ensures that all actions comply with ethical and legal standards, providing an additional level of assurance and control.

Currently, OVES Enterprise actively collaborates with key players in the defense industry to integrate and adapt the Storm Shadow AI technology into their systems. These partnerships underline the company's commitment to providing solutions that not only improve operational efficiency, but also ensure a significant strategic advantage in modern operational theaters.

For this year, the company maintains its investment pace and announces a budget of €2.5 million for the development of its products and the continuation of the international expansion process, focusing on Software as a Service, Space and Defense, and Cybersecurity areas.

OVES Enterprise is a Romanian software development and drone manufacturing company, established in 2015 in Cluj-Napoca. Starting 2019, OVES's strategy included offering more complex software development services for projects in the automotive, eCommerce, fintech, telecom, international governmental institutions, etc., becoming a technological partner for complex and technologically sophisticated projects. Last year, OVES Enterprise expanded its activity with a new business line focused on drone production.
