MedLife expands into Moldova with healthcare group acquisition

Business Forum
Romanian private healthcare player MedLife is extending its reach by acquiring a majority stake in All Clinic, a healthcare group in the Republic of Moldova.

This move marks MedLife's second international expansion, following its 2019 acquisition of Rózsakert Medical Center in Hungary.

All Clinic, established in 1999, comprises three multidisciplinary private clinics contracted with Moldova's National Health Insurance Company. These clinics provide a range of outpatient services across 20 medical specialities, including family medicine, ENT, paediatrics, gastroenterology, cardiology, neurology, and gynaecology.

Last year, All Clinic reported a turnover of €800,000 and a double-digit EBITDA margin.

Mihai Marcu, President and CEO of MedLife Group, said: "We will use this strategic move to get to know a new market and to study the possibilities of scaling the business. We strongly believe that the Republic of Moldova has potential, especially the Chișinău market, which has exceptional potential, being, in practice, the second Romanian-speaking city after Bucharest.”

“We will continue in the same direction, with the strategic objective of expanding and accelerating growth in the Moldovan market," added Aurica Roman, Co-Founder of All Clinic.

MedLife Group has 6.5 million patients that have used its services across the country.
