FlixBus expands summer routes from Romania to Bulgaria and Greece

Business Forum
Travel tech company FlixBus is adding new international coach connections from Romania to Greece and bolstering existing routes to Bulgaria to accommodate demand in the peak 2025 season.

Romanian travelers can now enjoy direct daily connections from Bucharest to major Greek cities like Athens and Thessaloniki, alongside popular holiday destinations such as Katerini, Larissa, Volos, and Lamia.

Furthermore, FlixBus is reinforcing its strong presence in Bulgaria, resuming several seasonal routes to the Black Sea coast. Direct lines connect Bucharest with popular Bulgarian resorts including Golden Sands, Albena, Sunny Beach, and Burgas, with daily departures. New this summer are direct connections to Balchik and Veliko Tarnovo.

Adrian Rășoiu, Business Development Director at FlixBus Romania, said: “Increasing demand from Romanian travelers has encouraged us to expand in this direction since 2021. Last summer we saw a 30 percent increase in passenger numbers during the summer season.”

For those traveling to Turkey, FlixBus, in partnership with Kamil Koç, operates daily direct trips to Istanbul, which remains a favorite destination for Romanians seeking city breaks and shopping getaways.

FlixBus has been active in the Romanian market since 2017, offering direct international trips from over 80 Romanian cities to 16 European countries.
