Orange Romania launches new cybersecurity company

Orange Romania has announced the launch of SCUT, a new cybersecurity company.

Mădălin Dumitru, who has over 28 years of global experience in the cybersecurity field and founded Cyber Smart Defence, has been appointed as the new CEO.

As an independent entity, SCUT's majority shareholder is Orange Romania, and this investment is part of the company's strategy to strengthen national digital resilience.

The company provides a unified protection service that offers a comprehensive and modular view of client infrastructures, multiple layers of protection, and a coordinated response to security incidents. 

This capability is supported by a team with more than two decades of experience in the field, along with the global expertise of Orange Cyberdefense.

The new company benefits from the know-how and resources of a group that operates in over 160 countries, with 18 Security Operations Centres (SOCs) and more than 250 researchers and analysts.
