IGEL opens new Bucharest R&D Centre

IGEL, a global provider of endpoint security, has announced the opening of a new R&D Centre of Excellence in Bucharest. 

The company plans a multi-million-euro investment over the next 24 months in the local centre, reinforcing its continued growth in the EMEA region.

This expansion will double the company's regional engineering footprint and create up to 80 new jobs. The new hub will focus on secure OS development and cloud-native architecture.

Matthias Haas, CTO of IGEL, said: "Romania's deep engineering culture and Bucharest's vibrant tech ecosystem make it the ideal launchpad for IGEL's next wave of secure endpoint innovation." 

With the HQ in Germany, the company has a global presence with U.S. offices in Fort Lauderdale and San Francisco. Its ecosystem includes over 100 partners across more than 50 countries.
