Endava to facilitate app migration to Romania's Government Cloud

Business Forum
Endava, the technology-driven business transformation group, has signed a Framework Agreement with the Authority for Digitalisation of Romania (ADR) to support the migration of government applications to the Romanian Government Private Cloud.

This project is a crucial component of Romania's public administration digitalisation strategy, financed through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR).

Endava is now one of the pre-approved companies tasked with helping the Romanian government migrate at least 30 digital-service applications to the new infrastructure.

Francesco Giovane, Endava Romania Country Manager, said: "This selection reaffirms our expertise and our position as a trusted partner in supporting administrations through digital transformation and gives Endava access to a significant number of projects across four years".

The Government Cloud project will be implemented across four national data centres located in Bucharest, Brașov, Sibiu, and Timiș.

The scope of Endava's work includes designing a resilient private cloud infrastructure, planning and executing the migration of legacy and bespoke applications, and implementing robust security, governance, and compliance frameworks. The company will also provide ongoing managed-services support and optimisation.

The initiative aligns with Endava's commitment to high-impact digital projects and its AI-native approach to technology services.

Matt Cloke, CTO of Endava, said: "Romania is hugely significant to Endava and this represents a true 'first of a kind' opportunity to work with the Romanian Government at this scale. We hope this will lead to a long-term relationship, where we can continue to support both the government and the people of Romania".

The total financing for the overall Government Cloud project exceeds €530 million from the PNRR.
