Fewer homes get completed in Romania in Q1-Q3 2024

The total number of homes completed in Romania in the first nine months of the year was 42,312, down by 18.1% compared to the same period last year, according to a report by the National Institute of Statistics (INS).

Additionally, 16,376 homes were completed in Q3, down by 9.4% compared to the same period in 2023.

In the first nine months, approximately 56.6% of the homes were put into use in urban areas, while the rest were in rural areas.

The INS report shows that most homes were completed in the Bucharest-Ilfov region (12,015), followed by the North-West region (6,187) and the Center region (4,907)
