Simtel secures 10-year PPA for 736 GWh of electricity

Romanian engineering firm Simtel Team has announced the signing of a significant power purchase agreement (PPA) that will run for a decade.

Under the terms of the agreement, Simtel will supply GES Furnizare with approximately 736 GWh of electricity over a 10-year period. 

GES, in which Simtel holds a 62% stake, will then supply this electricity to its own portfolio of clients.

The electricity will be generated from the Giurgiu park, which is expected to be completed in Q2 and will begin meeting the energy needs of GES clients in H2 2025.

Simtel is also considering entering into PPA-type contracts for each of its future photovoltaic park developments. 

The decision on partners for these contracts will be determined based on the specifics, capacity, and completion date of each park, according to a notification submitted to the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB).
