Simtel Team appoints new Group CFO to drive consolidation

Business Forum
Romanian renewable energy and engineering group Simtel Team has announced the appointment of Mihai Velicu as its new Group CFO.

He brings extensive experience to the position, having started his career at Deloitte Audit in 2008. He later served as CFO for Amromco Energy and, most recently, was the CFO for all Romanian entities of Premier Energy.

In his new role, Velicu will be responsible for group-level financial coordination, which includes consolidating financial statements, implementing a unified financial strategy, optimising the financing structure, and managing relationships with financial institutions. He will also work on identifying and leveraging synergies between the group's various companies to enhance financial performance and operational efficiency. The company's individual CFO role will continue to be held by Mirela Gogoriță.

This strategic move is part of an ongoing process of organisational restructuring and consolidation, aimed at ensuring the strategic and financial coordination of all companies within the group.

The Simtel Group comprises several operational companies with complementary activities, including photovoltaic projects, industrial automation, and telecom infrastructure (Simtel Team), energy supply and trading (G-Energy Solutions), and robotics (Agora Robotics).

The company also manages more than 15 Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) dedicated to energy production and storage projects.
