VINCI Energies to acquire EnergoBit

Business Forum
French VINCI Energies has signed an agreement to acquire the Romanian group EnergoBit, specialized in electrical infrastructure.

The value of the deal, which is pending regulatory approval, was not made public.

EnergoBit, established in 1990, reported a consolidated revenue of €100 million in 2024 and employs 825 people across eight locations in Romania. The company is recognised for its expertise in the engineering and installation of electrical substations, overhead transmission and distribution lines, and network monitoring and automation. EnergoBit also operates a workshop for assembling transformers and medium-voltage switchgear.

This strategic acquisition by VINCI Energies aims to bolster its presence in Romania, where it has operated since 2007 and currently employs 1,500 people.

The transaction will extend the footprint of the Omexom brand, dedicated to energy infrastructure, within Romania.

The VINCI Group's total revenue in Romania for 2024 exceeded €200 million, with VINCI Energies contributing over €150 million and VINCI Construction nearly €50 million.
