Globinvest launches new energy & financials ETF on BVB

Business Forum
SAI Globinvest, a Romanian investment management company, has launched the Globinvest Energy & Financials ETF, which was listed on Monday on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) under the ticker symbol GIBEFETF.

This ETF is the first to track the BET-EF index and the second sector ETF available on the BVB.

Nicolae Adrian Pastor, CEO of Globinvest, said: "Through this fund, we aim at providing investors with a simple and solid solution to access the most relevant companies in the energy, utilities and financial sectors - essential sectors for the stability and growth of the Romanian economy."

The Globinvest Energy & Financials ETF aims to replicate the performance of the Bucharest Exchange Trading Energy, Utilities and Financials Index (BET-EF). The index comprises Romanian companies listed on the BVB's Regulated Market, specifically those in the energy, utilities, and financial sectors.

Companies included in the BET-EF index are selected based on their liquidity and free-float capitalization. Some of the key companies in this index are Banca Transilvania, OMV Petrom, Hidroelectrica, and Romgaz. As of April 25, the total capitalization of companies listed on the main segment of the Bucharest Stock Exchange is RON 365 billion (€73,3 billion), with the companies in the BET-EF index representing approximately RON 200 billion (€40 billion).
