Provident Financial Romania names new Sales Director

Business Forum
Provident Financial Romania, part of the British International Personal Finance (IPF) group, has named Laurențiu Mărculescu its new Sales Director.

With a solid background in managing commercial teams and developing distribution channels, Mărculescu will spearhead the expansion of sales channels as the company broadens its portfolio and partnerships to support an anticipated credit volume growth of over 10% by 2025.

"We are preparing to launch credit cards in Romania, a natural step for Provident, which already offers a comprehensive suite of flexible financing products," stated Laurențiu Mărculescu, Sales Director of Provident Romania.

Provident has approximately 180,000 active clients in Romania, nearly half of whom reside in rural areas and smaller communities. The majority of these clients have chosen Provident's traditional door-to-door lending model.

By the end of 2024, the company aims to reach 20,000 new clients without a credit history who have taken out their first loan with Provident.
