Electrica CEO mandate extended

Electrica's Board of Directors has approved new four-year mandates for its top executive leadership following a meeting on 27 March.

Alexandru-Aurelian Chiriță, who has served as CEO since May 2022, will start a new term on 1 January 2027. His current mandate is set to expire on 31 December 2026, with the new appointment lasting until 1 January 2031.

Additionally, the Board extended the mandate of Ioana Andreea Lambru as Chief Business Development Officer. Her new four-year term will commence on 16 March 2027 and run until 16 March 2031.

For the financial department, Costin-Ionuț Iordache was appointed as interim CFO from 1 April 2026 until the end of the year.

CIP reaches financial close on 392 MW Romanian wind project

Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), through its Growth Markets Fund II (GMF II), announced financial close for the 392 MW Peștera II onshore wind project in Constanța County. The project represents one of the larger investments in new renewable energy infrastructure in Romania and one of the larger project finance transactions in CEE.
