Flip.ro, the Romanian platform dedicated to refurbished electronic devices, has concluded its fiscal year with a 45% year-over-year increase, reaching a total gross merchandise volume (GMV) of €80.9 million.

The company continues its rapid growth, both domestically and internationally, now serving over 650,000 customers who have either bought or sold devices through the platform.

While smartphones remain the core product, Flip.ro expanded its refurbished portfolio in 2024 to include smartwatches and laptops, in addition to existing tablets, with gaming consoles set to launch in 2025.

The company's buyback program has become a strategic pillar, showing a 142% growth compared to the previous year.

International markets are proving to be significant growth drivers, with Greece, Bulgaria, and Hungary showing similar upward trajectories to Romania.

The Greek operations, launched in summer 2023, experienced the most rapid growth, over ninefold in both volume and value.

This year, Flip.ro plans to further diversify its product offering by launching gaming consoles, specifically PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, for both purchase and trade-in this summer.

The company also aims to explore the integration of AI technologies for faster and more accurate device evaluations. Additionally, Flip.ro intends to double its regional partnerships with retailers and telecom operators in Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria, and Greece, while exploring entry into Western European markets.
