Spanning 30 hectares, the Doaga industrial centre is now the largest production platform in Symmetrica's portfolio, featuring four production halls and a storage hall.
A key aspect of this development is the integration of three high-performance photovoltaic parks, ensuring 70% energy independence for the hub.
Sebastian Bobu, Executive Director at Symmetrica, said: "The acquisition, modernisation, and re-technologization of the factory from Somaco Holding represented a strategic step for Symmetrica. We have expanded production capacity, created new jobs, and revitalised the industrial tradition of the area. It is proof that long-term investments can generate real economic and social impact for the community."
The new facility will create 50 new jobs, increasing the total number of employees at the Doaga centre to 130. The expanded product portfolio now includes concrete prefabricates for water and sewage infrastructure, road infrastructure elements, and poles for overhead power lines.
This investment in Doaga complements Symmetrica's largest venture to date: the completion of the factory in Bolintin Vale, Giurgiu, which, with an investment of nearly €50 million, will become the largest production centre in South-Eastern Europe.
