Pluxee acquires Romanian company MyBenefits

Business Forum
Pluxee, a global supplier of employee benefits and engagement solutions, has announced the acquisition of MyBenefits, a rapidly expanding Romanian company specializing in technology for flexible employee benefits.

The acquisition builds upon a successful partnership between the two companies. Pluxee has over 2 million employees utilizing its cards for various benefits. MyBenefits, launched in 2016, has seen its user base increase fivefold in the last year alone.

Their digital platform allows employees to personalize their benefits, choosing from options such as meal, holiday, gift, and cultural cards, as well as access to medical services, gyms, and professional training courses.

This transaction aligns with Pluxee's strategic growth plan, expanding its technological capabilities and reinforcing its presence in the Romanian market.

The Group anticipates sustainable growth synergies and additional revenue generation through cross-selling to its existing client portfolio. The acquisition is expected to positively impact Pluxee's recurring EBITDA margin starting from fiscal year 2026.

The transaction is pending approval from Romanian regulatory authorities, specifically in accordance with foreign direct investment control regulations, and will be fully financed from existing financial resources.

APlus Advisory, a Romanian financial consultancy firm, advised MyBenefits' founders on the transaction.
