Knauf Insulation opens €140 million plant in Romania

Business Forum
Knauf Insulation has inaugurated its new glass mineral wool factory in Romania, marking the group's single largest investment in CEE.

The €140 million investment transforms the facility into a regional centre of excellence, with an annual production capacity of over 75,000 tonnes of glass mineral wool.

Dominique Bossan, CEO for Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, said: "This facility sets a new standard for Knauf Insulation, being the most modern and technologically advanced glass mineral wool factory in the region."

The new factory's insulation solutions are crucial, as over 85% of buildings in Romania were constructed before modern energy efficiency standards were adopted.

The facility is strategically positioned to serve customers not only in Romania but across the entire region
