Garanti BBVA has announced a long-term financing agreement of €10 million for the development of the National Golf & Country Club, a project developed by DM Sport & Energy that is located in Dâmbovița County, less than 37 km north of Bucharest.

The project, with a total value of €30 million, aims to create a premier sports and leisure complex catering to both professional and amateur golf players.

The complex will feature an 18-hole golf course built to international competition standards, as well as high-quality recreational facilities, including a restaurant, swimming pool, and event hall.

Additionally, the investment includes the development of a luxury residential complex comprising 172 villas and 100 apartments, offering future owners an exclusive lifestyle and contributing to the creation of a sustainable community in the region.

Bilge Demirer, Deputy General Manager, Enterprise Banking Area at Garanti BBVA, stated: "This is a unique project in the region, combining top-notch golf facilities in a relaxing environment, catering to both players and their families or guests. Given the international scale of the tournaments hosted, the complex contributes to increasing Romania's visibility as an elite tourist destination and a future hub for professional golf players."

Metin Doğan, President of the National Golf & Country Club, added: "The National Golf & Country Club is no longer just a vision – it has become a reality. We have meticulously created an exclusive five-star destination, redefining luxury and relaxation, offering our members a perfect blend of prestige, tranquility, and world-class facilities."

Furthermore, all the energy required for the complex's maintenance will come from renewable sources, generated by photovoltaic parks owned by companies in the group led by Doğan, Owner of DM Sport & Energy.
