Building materials maker Xella Romania has named Petrișor Grindeanu as its new CEO, replacing Marius Dragne, who held the helm at the company for 16 years.

The new CEO brings over 25 years of experience in the building materials industry.

Grindeanu joined Xella late last year after five years as CEO of Lasselsberger Ceramics Romania, the sole domestic producer of ceramic tiles. Prior to that, he held various leadership roles at the Swiss group Sika, including GM for the company's operations in Ethiopia and Djibouti.

“I strongly believe that through technology, sustainability, and a strong team spirit, we can redefine market standards and create solutions that truly meet current needs,” says the new CEO.

Xella's portfolio includes brands such as Ytong, Macon, Multipor, and Silka.
