Location remains paramount for premium homebuyers in Bucharest

Location, intelligent layouts, and a robust array of amenities are the paramount criteria for buyers seeking premium homes in northern Bucharest, shows a recent qualitative study commissioned by Cloud9, part of Romanian developer Alfa Group, and conducted by Unlock.

The study, conducted in April-May, shows a shift towards a lifestyle-centric approach to home selection.

Beyond the physical attributes of a home, the developer's reputation and the creation of a strong sense of community are also proving decisive factors in the purchasing process. These community needs extend to generous green spaces, comfortable common areas, and a variety of lifestyle-enhancing amenities such as nearby shops, cafes, sports facilities, and educational institutions.

Răzvan Brasla, CEO of Cloud9, says: "This study confirmed for us what we are seeing more and more in the market: buyers no longer just want a well-located apartment, they want a lifestyle. They are no longer choosing bedroom projects, but developments that offer them real amenities, tailored to their daily pace."

Alfa Group is currently investing €90 million in a new residential project in northern Bucharest that meets the principles of the "15-minute city".
