M Core starts retail park development in Galați

M Core has started development of M Park Galați, the city's first retail park, on a 100,000 sqm plot acquired in December 2024.

The development will feature approximately 30,000 sqm of built area, hosting international and local retailers including the city's first Leroy Merlin store.

The retail park will include a food court and drive-thru restaurants, along with electric vehicle charging stations. The location provides accessibility for Galați residents and the wider region.

"With this project, we are strengthening our presence in South-Eastern Romania while staying true to our mission of delivering modern, sustainable retail spaces designed to support local development," said Clemens Petschnikar, CEO of Square 7, part of M Core.

The opening is scheduled for Q4 2026. M Core is a family of property investment and management companies with a €7 billion portfolio of assets and 600 employees across Europe, managing over 1,050 assets across the UK, France, Poland, Romania, Germany and Spain.
