The growth was driven by capital repairs, which jumped 51.8%, and new construction works, which rose 6.2%. However, maintenance and current repairs declined by 2.8%. By construction type, residential buildings led with 11.3% growth, followed by engineering constructions at 9.3% and non-residential buildings at 8.1%.
When adjusted for working days and seasonality, construction work volume grew 9.2%. Capital repairs and new construction works increased by 49.9% and 6.8% respectively, while maintenance and current repairs fell 5.1%. Engineering constructions showed the strongest growth at 10.9%, followed by residential buildings at 9.8% and non-residential buildings at 5.9%.
In September 2025 compared to August 2025, construction work volume rose 17.8% as a gross series. The increase was evident across maintenance and current repairs (+28.3%), new construction works (+15.9%) and capital repairs (+13.4%). Non-residential buildings grew 18.5%, engineering constructions 18.1%, and residential buildings 15.4%.
Year-on-year in September, construction work volume increased 8.2% as a gross series. Capital repairs surged 61.6% and new construction works grew 3.2%, while maintenance and current repairs dropped 2%. Non-residential and residential buildings posted strong gains of 29.6% and 21.4% respectively, though engineering constructions fell 2.8%.
