E.ON and MOL sign e-mobility partnership in Romania and CEE

Business Forum
E.ON Energie Romania and MOL Romania have signed a deal aimed at bolstering the electric mobility infrastructure across Romania and CEE.

This collaboration integrates 592 charging points from MOL's Plugee network into the E.ON Drive application, offering electric vehicle users expanded and convenient access to charging services across six countries.

Users of the E.ON Drive app can now locate, access, and pay for charging services at MOL Plugee stations directly from a single digital platform.

"E.ON is among the leading companies in developing Europe's e-mobility infrastructure, with over 7,200 public charging points, 336 of which are in Romania," stated Claudia Griech, General Director of E.ON Energie Romania.

The integration boosts the E.ON Drive app's reach to over 2,000 charging points for EV owners in Romania, while globally, the app now incorporates more than 500,000 stations. Last year alone, the E.ON Drive application facilitated over 32,000 charging sessions, delivering more than 670,800 kWh of energy.

MOL Plugee charging stations are strategically located in 41 areas across Romania, primarily along major motorways such as A1 and A2, and other key national roads.

The partnership extends beyond Romania, encompassing MOL Plugee stations in Hungary (254 points), Czechia (89 points), Slovenia (32 points), Slovakia (45 points), and Croatia (35 points), providing a comprehensive charging solution for electric vehicle users throughout the region.
