Oscar Downstream appoints Silvia Ene as strategy chief

Oscar Downstream has appointed Silvia Ene as Chief Operating and Strategy Officer, a role designed to accelerate the company's strategic directions.

With over 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Ene brings expertise in business development, petroleum and petrochemical product sales, and strategic management. At Oscar Downstream, she will contribute to integrated business development, covering the entire chain from operations and strategy to optimising commercial flows and identifying new growth opportunities.

"We want to continue developing the company in a sustainable and agile way, and her contribution will be essential in this endeavour, both through optimising operations and identifying new growth opportunities," said Nicolae Bănică, CEO of Oscar Downstream.

Ene's professional background includes experience at OMV Petrom, where she was involved in international supply, origination and trading activities. She holds an MBA in Management and Entrepreneurship from Westfälische Hochschule Gelsenkirchen in Germany and speaks fluent German and English.

Nuclearelectrica has completed the first continuous concrete pour for the permanent structures of the Cernavoda Nuclear Power Plant Unit 1 refurbishment project. The operation used approximately 3,470 cubic metres of concrete for the foundation, equivalent to about 380 concrete mixer trucks.
