SmartBill names new CEO

SmartBill, the local provider of billing and management software solutions part of Visma group, has announced the appointment of Alex Leca as its new CEO.

Leca, who has been with SmartBill for over a decade, brings a wealth of experience in accounting, financial management, and product development to his new role. 

His journey with the company began early, working alongside the founders from the initial version of the product.

“I am leading a company that has all the assets to take financial digitization to the next level,” said Leca,

In 2024, SmartBill experienced substantial growth, with a turnover increase of over 70%, reaching around €15 million. The company's client base has also expanded significantly, now serving 160,000 active businesses.
