VAT Romania, a high-performance vacuum valve supplier part of the VAT Group, has officially opened a new 21,000 sqm production facility within VGP Park Arad.

This factory marks the group's third major operational hub globally, complementing its headquarters in Switzerland and its existing unit in Malaysia.

The newly developed facility, built to BREEAM Outstanding standards, incorporates high-precision production areas, modern offices, social spaces, a canteen, and a fully equipped gym.

Urs Gantner, CEO of VAT Group, stated: "This factory is a cornerstone in our global production network. It reflects our confidence in Romania's business environment and the potential of local human resources, positioning us strongly for future development."

Strategically located near the A1 motorway, the factory ensures efficient logistics and easy access to regional and international markets.

Currently, approximately 50 of VAT Romania's 380 highly skilled employees are already working at the new factory, with the entire team set to be relocated by the end of 2025.

In line with this expansion, the company has announced its intention to double the number of employees directly involved in production in Romania over the next three years.
