New leadership at Dacia: Katrin Adt appointed CEO

Business Forum
Renault Group has announced the appointment of Katrin Adt as the new CEO of the Dacia brand, succeeding Denis Le Vot, who is departing the company.

Adt, previously a Vice President at Mercedes-Benz, will also join the Renault Group's Leadership Team. As part of the new organisational structure, she will report to Fabrice Cambolive, Renault Group's Chief Growth Officer.

"Shaping businesses for the future has always been my driving force. Today, we stand at a pivotal moment—both technologically and socially—in our relationship with the automobile. Dacia has consistently demonstrated the relevance of its approach through products that resonate deeply with customer expectations,” said the new CEO.

”Now that the brand is firmly established on the European retail market podium, it is up to us to make it a new benchmark in electrified vehicles” added Cambolive.

Adt has nearly 26 years of experience in the automotive industry, all of which were spent with Daimler and Mercedes-Benz. With a background in law, her career has primarily focused on sales and retail, and she has held senior positions including CEO of the Smart brand and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Own Retail Europe. Most notably, she led the transformation of the Smart brand into a 100% electric brand.

Dacia is currently preparing to launch its C-segment SUV, the Bigster.
