WDP to develop 54,000 sqm distribution centre for Action in Bucharest

Business Forum
The industrial developer WDP has signed an agreement with Action, the international non-food discount chain, for the development of a new distribution centre.

The new warehouse will be built in WDP Park Bucharest – Ştefănești and represents an investment of approximately €40 million.

The distribution centre will have a surface area of around 54,000 sqm, built on a 15-hectare plot, with the potential for a further 20,000 sqm of extension.

Construction is scheduled to begin in early 2026, with delivery estimated by the end of the same year. The agreement provides for a long-term, triple-net lease contract with a minimum term of 15 years.

The building will be equipped with photovoltaic panels and advanced energy-efficient systems, aiming to obtain BREEAM Outstanding certification.

The investment adds to WDP's portfolio of pre-leased projects, which has grown by 150,000 sqm this year.

WDP Romania's portfolio is approaching 2 million sqm and includes industrial parks in key locations across the country, including Timișoara, Pitești, Arad, Cluj, Brașov, Sibiu, Constanța, and Ploiești.
