Cushman & Wakefield Echinox has completed the sale of the Zenith Conference & Spa hotel in Mamaia to the owners of Steaua de Mare Hotels & Resorts from Eforie Nord. The property was previously controlled by the RC2 investment fund and Antares Management, owned by Dumitru Becșenescu.

Located on the seafront in central Mamaia, Zenith Conference & Spa is a 4-star hotel with 295 rooms. The property offers restaurants, a wellness centre, outdoor pool, private beach and conference facilities. The transaction also includes beachfront land available for development.

"This transaction highlights the growing interest in seaside hotel assets and contributes to the revitalisation of the tourism sector," said Mihaela Pană, Partner Private Investments at Cushman & Wakefield Echinox. "The Romanian hotel market is undergoing expansion, with new projects in Bucharest and main tourist destinations. The sector continues to be dominated by local players who understand the local market better."

The Mamaia-Constanța area hosts approximately 340 accommodation units, including over 100 hotels, with around 10,000 hotel beds in total. Zenith is one of the few hotels in Mamaia that operates year-round, serving both leisure and business tourism segments.

Built in 1969 and modernised in several phases, the hotel comprises two buildings (Jupiter and Junona) with a total built area of 13,400 sqm on a 5,800 sqm plot.
