E.ON Drive Infrastructure launches Romania's largest EV charging hub

Business Forum
E.ON Drive Infrastructure has officially inaugurated Romania's largest EV charging hub, located within the Vivo! Commercial Complex in Pitești.

The new hub features 50 charging points with varied capacities, designed to cater to diverse user needs. This includes six ultra-fast charging points (up to 300 kW), twelve fast charging points (up to 50 kW), and thirty-two AC charging points (up to 11 kW).

Its proximity to the A1 Motorway makes it ideal for drivers in transit, while shoppers at the Vivo! complex can conveniently charge their vehicles during their visit. A key feature for user convenience is the direct card payment option via bank POS at all rapid and ultra-rapid chargers, eliminating the need for applications or subscriptions.

This initiative is a part of the broader European DRIVE-E project, which aims to implement 1,400 charging points across 13 EU countries by 2027. Upon the opening of the Pitești hub, E.ON Drive Infrastructure Romania has surpassed 400 public charging points available nationwide.

E.ON Drive Infrastructure operates over 7,000 public charging points across 11 European countries.
