Florina Moisei has been named as the new Country Manager for its local branch, Revolut Bank UAB Vilnius Sucursala București.

The move comes as Revolut continues to strengthen its presence in Romania, a key market with over 4.5 million retail customers.

This makes Romania the second-largest market for the digital bank globally, after the UK, and the first in the EU by retail customer base.

“Our goal is to transform Revolut into the first option for innovative and accessible banking in Romania," said the new Country Manager.

Moisei brings over 20 years' worth of experience in the financial and banking sector, with a professional background that includes time at UniCredit and a top leadership role as GM at Access Financial Services IFN.

In her new position, she will oversee the operations of Revolut Bank UAB in Romania and work with other teams to promote the adoption of Revolut as a primary bank account for local customers.

The digital bank's customer base in Romania grew by 28% last year. Revolut currently has operational branches in France, Ireland, Spain, the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Portugal, and Romania.
