Cardiovascular Diseases Institute in Bucharest attracts donation for modernisation

Business Forum
The BGS For People Association has donated €15,000 to the Emergency Institute for Cardiovascular Diseases in Bucharest.

The funds are specifically earmarked for the modernisation of the Cardiology 2 Unit, with a focus on acquiring new medical equipment. This initiative aims to enhance the patient environment, making it safer and more modern, while also improving working conditions for the medical staff.

Anca Grecu, President of the BGS For People Association, said: "Health is the foundation of a strong community, and hospitals require constant support. Through this donation, we hope to contribute to creating a modern and safe environment for patients going through difficult times. We are convinced that only together can we make a difference and that every act of solidarity brings more hope where it is needed."

The Cardiology 2 Unit is home to the Centre of Expertise for Rare Genetic Cardiovascular Diseases, which is part of the European rare heart disease network, Guard Heart.

A crucial aspect of the unit's work is its echocardiography laboratory, and the donation will contribute to its renovation and upgrade with state-of-the-art equipment. This upgrade is a key element in the broader goal of bringing the department up to European standards.
