Fepra opens new PET and glass recycling facilities in Brad

Business Forum
Fepra has inaugurated new PET and glass recycling units in Brad, marking a significant step for the municipality and Romania's recycling infrastructure.

The new facilities represent a strategic investment for the economic development of the Brad-Hunedoara region, which has been affected in recent decades by industrial restructuring and workforce migration.

"We wanted the new industrial park in Brad to be more than a recycling infrastructure and to become a model of development based on circular economy, capable of creating local chains with real positive impact in communities," said Ionuț Georgescu, CEO and Founder of Fepra. "The choice of the area is not accidental: it has industrial tradition, but also a history with many economic and social challenges."

The Fepra circular economy industrial park in Brad includes a PET recycling factory with a production capacity of up to 3,000 tonnes per month, equipped with latest generation European technologies, and a glass packaging recycling factory with a capacity of up to 2,300 tonnes per month, fitted with high-performance equipment.

The two units will generate 56 new jobs in the Brad-Hunedoara area, contributing to the economic revitalisation of a region that needs stable, long-term investments. The project confirms the area's potential to become an important regional recycling industry hub.
