WDP buys out partner in Romania

Industrial developer WDP says it has purchased a 15% equity stake in the company from Jeroen Biermans, Country Manager Romania at WDP. 

Following the sale, Biermans will remain at the helm of the local operations and will help expand the company's growth. 

"This transaction reflects another step in the internationalisation of WDP Group where WDP's operations in Romania are experiencing very strong growth in recent years," said the company in a financial report. 

In Romania, WDP's portfolio covers 1.95 million sqm across 79 projects, with a combined value of €1.5 billion. The developer's land bank in Romania stands at around 8.6 million sqm.
