Garbe Industrial Real Estate expands in Romania

Business Forum
German developer Garbe Industrial Real Estate has set up a new company in Romania. Under the leadership of CEE Managing Director Martin Polák and Country Head Andrei Jerca, GARBE Industrial Real Estate Romania will expand its activities in this market and implement its own property developments.

Jerca has over 17 years' worth of experience in industrial and logistics, of which he spent close to 4 years as Managing Director of industrial developer ELI Parks. In his new role, he will oversee Romanian developments alongside CEE Managing Director Martin Polák.

”Romania boasts excellent infrastructure access, stable economic conditions, and low energy prices. Many companies need new and, above all, sustainable logistics assets. The fact that the country is being integrated into the Schengen area makes this an even more exciting time,” said Jerca.

Polák commented: “Andrei Jerca has an in-depth understanding of the Romanian industry and logistics sectors. With his profound knowledge of the special market dynamics and his strategic far-sightedness, he is a true asset to Garbe and a key factor in our growth strategy.”

Polák added that the new head for Romanian operations will be a key factor in the company's growth strategy.

At present, Garbe has around 6.5 million sqm of leasable area and a property development pipeline of around 1.9 million sqm in Germany and elsewhere in Europe
