Penny reaches 462 stores in Romania

Penny continues its national network expansion with the opening of a new store in Bacău. With this opening, the Penny network reaches 462 units nationwide.

The new Bacău opening marks the fifth unit of the network in the city. The store has a surface area of 850 sqm and 67 parking spaces, three of which are dedicated to people with disabilities. 

The retailer continuously invests in infrastructure and environmentally friendly construction, as well as new technologies, such as efficient refrigeration systems, charging stations for electric vehicles, installation of photovoltaic panels, implementation of standardised systems for energy efficiency and greenhouse gas emission reduction.

The network expansion is part of the Penny Punct strategy, focused on seven main pillars: improved in-store experience, expansion, Romanian products, people, digitalisation, sustainability and integrated communication.
