America House earns accessibility gold certification

Business Forum
America House has received Access4You Gold certification for its accessibility facilities, reinforcing its commitment to inclusive design and barrier-free access. The certification confirms standards to accommodate individuals with locomotor disabilities, including wheelchair users, elderly individuals, people with reduced mobility, and visitors with strollers, as well as access for blind and hearing-impaired visitors.

The Access4You Gold certification was awarded following a detailed assessment of America House's physical infrastructure and design, including entrances, elevators, restrooms, and interior pathways. This certification ensures that the space is navigable and functional for individuals with diverse physical needs. The importance of accessibility extends beyond those with permanent disabilities, it also addresses anyone who may experience temporary mobility limitations due to injury or illness.

America House now holds three distinct certifications. The building was awarded an Outstanding rating under the BREEAM In-Use certification methodology, with recognition for its focus on health and well-being. For supporting environmentally friendly and commuter-conscious initiatives, America House also obtained the Gold Active Score Certification, highlighting the building's infrastructure for active travel, including walking, cycling, and seamless access to public transportation options.

America House offers 28,806 sqm of office and retail space, spread across nine above-ground floors, complemented by 368 parking spaces on three underground levels. The project has recently undergone a €10 million refurbishment and modernization program.
