The group plans to open the first wagamama restaurant in Bucharest by the end of 2026 or early 2027, marking its entry into the fast-casual Asian dining segment. The launch is part of Sphera's strategy to diversify its portfolio and expand into high-growth potential segments.
Founded in London in 1992, wagamama operates an international network of restaurants known for its Asian-inspired menu, efficient operating model, and contemporary design concept. The brand follows a "kaizen" philosophy of continuous improvement, emphasising fresh, nourishing food served in a dynamic setting.
The wagamama menu includes dishes inspired by modern Asian cuisine, such as ramen, rice-based dishes, and teppan, all prepared using fresh ingredients and adapted seasonally. The concept is known for its bold flavours, high-quality ingredients, and contemporary, community-oriented dining experience.
The addition of wagamama complements Sphera Franchise Group's recent expansion initiatives, including the Hard Rock Cafe and Cioccolatitaliani franchises, reflecting the company's commitment to growth and strategic partnerships with international brands.
