Alesonor invests €2 million in sports facilities near Bucharest

Business Forum
Rezidential developer Alesonor and Fan Basketball Academy have announced a partnership to develop and operate the sports facilities within Amber Forest Agora, part of the Amber Forest suburb.

Construction is underway on an nZEB-compliant sports facility covering about 1,000 sqm, along with outdoor amenities including an 800 sqm football field and a basketball court. The indoor hall will feature a multifunctional basketball court, locker rooms and showers, designed for training sessions, competitions and activities for children and young people. The total investment amounts to about €2 million.

The facilities are scheduled to open in autumn 2026. The hall will be operated by Fan Basketball Academy, which will establish its new Training and Performance Center for athletes. The facilities will serve the school located within Amber Forest and will also be available for rent by residents and the wider community in northern Bucharest. The investment complements existing infrastructure including running and cycling trails, with a 12,000 sqm sports and leisure club featuring tennis and padel courts, swimming pools and a fitness centre scheduled for 2027.

"At Amber Forest, we are building a community where living means more than simply owning a home, it means having access to facilities that support a healthy, active lifestyle. We are pleased to partner with Fan Basketball Academy, an organisation that will transform this facility into a space dedicated to education through sport," said Alex Skouras, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Alesonor.
