SevenX Ventures increases stake in Holde Agri Invest

Business Forum
Holde Agri Invest SA, one of Romania's largest agricultural land operators, announces changes to its shareholding structure alongside the strategy for the company's development in the coming years. SevenX Ventures has increased its stake in Holde Agri Invest, while Leonard Leca, a member of Holde's Board of Directors and an investor in SevenX Ventures, has increased his holding in SevenX Ventures to 71%, resulting in a reduction of Vertical Seven Groups' stake in the same fund to 10%.

“The past two years have been full of challenges for the agribusiness sector in Romania, with many companies facing financial difficulties due to their inability to recover investments made in crops. Despite this context, I remain confident in the prospects of Romania's agricultural industry and the potential of the company to achieve positive progress, as evidenced by the increased investment of SevenX Ventures in Holde and the financial support provided to the company to cover current expenses. To address this situation, changes have been made at the management level, and the current team is focused on implementing effective measures to increase productivity and reduce operational costs. We will continue to enhance the quality and performance of the leadership through constant monitoring, clear objectives, and strategic support. Furthermore, we aim to attract experienced agricultural professionals to accelerate the adoption of modern agricultural technologies and to strengthen the company's resilience to new climate and economic challenges,” stated Leonard Leca, Member of the Board of Directors of Holde Agri Invest.

In the medium term, Holde Agri Invest's priority is to stabilize its financial position and consolidate the business. Over the long term, the company plans to resume its expansion and development strategies, with the goal of expanding its operational area from 16,300 hectares to 36,000 hectares.

To this end, Holde will develop strategic partnerships with international traders and irrigation solution providers to gain access to external markets and support the expansion of irrigated areas to approximately 3,000 hectares. Moreover, the company is seeking to attract new investors and exploring opportunities for strategic mergers.

Holde Agri Invest's shares are listed on the AeRO market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange since October 1, 2020, trading under the ticker symbol HAI.

Long-term thinking is becoming real estate's biggest advantage

At Bucharest Business Forum 2026, the closing panel brought together senior executives from residential, logistics, and asset management to explore how Romania can unlock its next phase of growth. Moderated by Ana Dumitrache, CEO, Olympian Parks, the discussion ranged from unlearning old market reflexes and rethinking “location,” to the disruptive impact of AI and the structural gaps still holding Romania back versus peers like Poland. Despite working in different segments, the speakers converged on a few core themes: long‑term value over short‑term volume, community and quality over simple density, and disciplined governance as the missing ingredient for Romania's full potential.
