Genesis Property secures BREEAM certification for building in Yunity Park

Business Forum
Romanian developer Genesis Property has obtained the BREEAM International In-Use certification, Outstanding, for Building F in its Bucharest-based Yunity Park business campus.

The building achieved scores of 88.2% for construction performance and 88.9% for sustainable building management.

"The built environment is responsible for nearly 40% of carbon emissions, over 30% of energy consumption, and almost 50% of natural resource use globally. Reducing the environmental impact of buildings is therefore crucial,” says Liviu Tudor, President of Genesis Property.

The campus is fully powered by renewable energy and has in operation a photovoltaic system on the roofs of the buildings.

In the medium term, the company's goal is to achieve BREEAM Outstanding and IMMUNE Resilient certifications by 2026, and ZEB certification by 2030 for the entire building portfolio.
