Metro completes 12,000 sqm warehouse near Bucharest

German retailer Metro has completed a new 12,000 sqm Food Service Delivery (FSD) warehouse in partnership with industrial developer WDP in Ștefăneștii de Jos, near Bucharest.

The project valued at close to €20 million is integrated in Metro's central platform spanning 65,000 sqm.

The new FSD unit will cater to HoReCa entrepreneurs and stores in its franchise network LaDoiPași.

“The company is prepared to continue investing in Romania, with plans valued at hundreds of millions of euros by 2030,” said Steffen Greubel, CEO of Metro AG, according to economica.net.

Metro Romania provides nationwide daily deliveries using a fleet of over 300 trucks, serving more than 11,000 clients.
